Join us this Pride Month for an empowering workshop aimed at equipping members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies with the life-saving skills needed to respond to opioid overdoses. In this interactive session, participants will learn how to administer Narcan (naloxone), a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and potentially save lives.
Led by experienced trainers from Rutgers School of Public Health, this workshop will provide comprehensive instruction on recognizing the signs of an opioid overdose, how to safely administer Narcan, and what steps to take while awaiting emergency medical assistance.
Participants will receive free Narcan (naloxone) to be used in the event of an emergency.
