2024 State of Our Schools

Join us for a critical panel discussion on the current state of school safety, with a special focus on the integration of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI), and LGBTQ-affirming policies and curricula. This workshop brings together experts in education policy, mental health, and community advocacy to identify current issues and explore effective strategies to ensure safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments for every student.

Our panelists will delve into the challenges and successes of implementing DEI initiatives and LGBTQ-friendly practices within educational settings. Attendees will gain insights into recent activities in school boards across the state, and discuss the impact of policy discussions and changes on overall school safety.

This session is designed for community members, educators, policy makers, and advocates who are committed to fostering an educational landscape where diversity is not only respected but celebrated.
